Colin is a former senior manager in the UK electricity industry. Together with his wife, Jan, he co-founded Children At Risk in Asia (CARA), which was registered with the UK Charity Commission on 1 March 2016. Since its establishment, Colin has played a central role in guiding CARA’s development and driving its fundraising efforts to support vulnerable children through trusted overseas partners.

Jan is an active volunteer in her local community and previously worked as a nurse. Together with her husband, Colin, she co-founded CARA. Their frequent visits to Sangkhlaburi have given her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children from poor ethnic minority and migrant families. This first-hand experience has driven her strong commitment to CARA’s mission and to improving the lives of vulnerable children.

Kevin is a long-standing trustee and supporter of CARA and has twice visited One Sky in Sangkhlaburi, where he volunteered his time teaching music to the children. An accomplished musician, Kevin served in the Household Cavalry as a timpanist (drummer) until his retirement. 

Marianne is a public health professional who joined the CARA Board of Trustees in 2025. After visiting One Sky in Sangkhlaburi in 2024, she saw first-hand the impact of their work and was inspired by the professionalism and dedication of the team. She has since supported CARA’s fundraising efforts and brings her expertise to strengthen the charity’s mission and oversight.
